How to Setup 'Pending Check Requests' Notifications 27 December 2024 04:31 Updated This article shows you how to set up notifications when checks are waiting 'approval' within the 'Pending Check Requests' tab. If your organisation uses our 'Unique URL' feature, checks will need to be 'approved' before they are submitted to InterCheck for processing. To prevent any delays in approving these requests, you can set up a notification to ensure your team is notified of any checks awaiting approval. When setting up your URL, you will have the option to 'skip business approval'. If 'skip business approval' is selected checks will not go to 'Pending Check Requests' for approval, they will go straight to InterCheck to be processed. How to set up the notification Go to Administration > Applicant Settings > Notification Settings Scroll to Business Email Notifications > Notify Business of Pending Check Requests (Yes/No) Once this setting has been enabled, you will be able to select who you'd like to receive the notification. The options will look a bit different depending on whether you have ‘Departments’ set up or not. If departments have not been set up in your portal you will be able to select the users you'd like to receive the notification If departments have been set up in your portal you will have two options: Select the users who you'd like to receive all notifications OR Select the department's 'mail to business', in which case the notification will go to the users selected to receive notifications for each department The department 'mail to business' is essentially a way for you to choose who receives notifications for checks within each department. Setting up 'mail to business' in your departments Go to Administration > Department Settings > Manage Departments Click Details Under Mail to Business you can select the users you wish to receive notifications for checks submitted under that department The selected 'mail to business' users can be: Admin or Normal users Department users (assigned to that department) Non-Department users (i.e. Admin or Normal users) can be selected as the 'mail to business' for multiple departments What will the notification look like? When a new application is submitted and is awaiting 'approval' all nominated users will receive an email notification. The email will notify you that there is a new application in the 'Pending Check Request' queue and provide you with a link to your InterCheck portal. From here, any user can login and 'approve' the check for processing.
