Business Portal Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Application Statuses 20 December 2024 01:43 Updated This article explains the different check statuses shown in the business portal. Within the 'Manage NCCHC' tab there are four different categories; these are: Incomplete: Application has not been submitted to InterCheck In Progress: Application is currently being processed by InterCheck Attention: Application requires further information for processing Results: Result is available to view and download. Under each category there are statuses where authorised users can determine the progress of the application. Started but incomplete Applicant has started and saved the application but has not progressed past the online application stage ID check required Applicant has completed the online application form but has not yet provided their IDs. OR Applicant has submitted application to InterCheck; however, the InterCheck team has not yet processed the application. Saved by business This status only shows if the application is a 'Portal check'. This means an authorised user has started but not yet completed/submitted a portal check to InterCheck. Pending compliance ID check and signed consent needs to be uploaded before submission. Application not approved This status only applies to businesses with a unique URL. The authorised officer needs to ‘approve’ the application under the ‘pending check requests’ tab. In progress: Status Description ID check required Applicant has completed the online application form but has not yet provided their IDs. OR Applicant has submitted application to InterCheck; however, the InterCheck team has not yet processed the application. Received by InterCheck Application is being processed by the InterCheck team OR Application has already been processed by the InterCheck team and is ready to be submitted. Police processing - pending result Application has been submitted to the National Police Checking Service and the result has not yet been returned. Police processing - manual review Application has been submitted to the National Police Checking Service and is being manually reviewed by the police. To read more about the manual review process click here. Attention - more info required Application is missing information and cannot be submitted until further info is provided. Attention: Status Description More info More information has been requested. The authorised officer can click reference number to view the information/documentation that is still required to progress the application. Results: When a result is dispatched the authorised user who sent the invite will be informed via email. In the results tab the business can: View the result by clicking the 'view' icon Download the check results certificate by clicking the pdf file icon Friendly reminder regarding retention of results: A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is a point-in-time record based on the purpose declared in the application. Ensure any decision making that requires access to the check results certificate is completed within three months of the release of the result. If a Nationally Coordinate Criminal History Check is required for a different purpose or role than which it was initially undertaken (such as a promotion or legislative requirement), then a new check must be requested. Downloading of check result certificate onto internal systems and retention after three months is not permitted.
